- Create and manage one or more virtual repositories for scripture. Scripture and Scripture-related contentholders will have the ability to manage their own translations while making scripture available for public and/or other organizations at their discretion.
- Provide reliable and technologically sound scripture storage and archival. All changes will be captured on stored files to insure they are kept up to date.
- Preservation and restoration of digital scripture files for completed translation projects.
- Simple, secured, managed access to the digital assets of the church.
- Composition-on-demand software that facilitates the ability to create books for Snowfall Press to print virtually around the world.
Deploy a Distributed Print Network
One of the many ways that Virtual Storehouse facilitates the availability of scripture and scripture resources globally is through the management of an international network of print nodes. The establishment of these print nodes has a significant impact on the availability of scripture and scripture resources for many reasons:
- Provide training and franchise opportunities for the operation of a print node by local people.
- Provide tools for the creation of content for publication and/or digital delivery by the local people.
- Provide print jobs as they are available for local delivery, providing additional sources of revenue.
- Provide market expansion for Christian resources by creating local access to global markets, and making it economically feasible to do so.
- Publishers can integrate a private print node into their current book warehouse operation and introduce more titles or phase in titles over time.
- Large consuming organizations can operate their own print node to print internally created resources as well as licensed content, eliminating shipping costs, providing immediate delivery of the number actually needed.
